Style
Every photographer has their own style when it comes to portraiture. After many years honing the craft, Fotoplicity images are quite identifiable. People often recognize Fotoplicity work when it pops up in their social media feed or they see it on someone’s wall. Portraits are typically shot with a shallow depth of field (blurry background) which allows the subject(s) to really stand out. Finished images often have a balanced mix between cool and warm and family poses are relaxed. All delivered images are hand-edited by Jennifer personally in a slightly artistic style that pops colors, provides a slightly matte finish and draws the eye.
Planning
Planning and executing a successful portrait session can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Over the years I have developed a system that breaks down the process into bite-sized pieces. From coordinating the family’s wardrobe, selecting a location, making the session meaningful to selecting images and choosing artwork for your walls - Fotoplicity has got you covered. You are provided with simple homework assignments that will get you through the planning process and after the session Jennifer is available as much as you like/need. Whether you prefer a hands-off approach with an online proofing gallery, a highly personalized reveal in the studio or something in-between, we can make it happen.
And if you plan on putting some images on your walls, Fotoplicity wall-design is one of the most appreciated services available. You can see your images on your walls (to scale) BEFORE you purchase. And the best part is that Jennifer is accessible to you via text, phone or email throughout the entire experience.
Relaxed
No stress! Seriously. There is no time limit on photo sessions and Fotoplicity only books one outdoor session per day so there is never a rush. We take the time required to accomplish the goals we set out in the planning process. Baby needs to eat a snack? It’s fine! A little temper tantrum by your 3-year old? We’ll wait. A wardrobe malfunction? Let’s get creative.

Relationships
Once you work with Fotoplicity you become part of the Fotoplicity Family. Portrait sessions are a personal experience and a photographer/client bond is often created. Personalities, likes and dislikes become familiar and every session following the first become easier and better!
All full session clients’ children become part of the Fotoplicity Birthday Club for two years following their session. This means that during the month of their birthday, the kids have access to a short and sweet session just for them. The Birthday Club has allowed strong relationships to be built throughout the years. There is no greater joy than watching a child grow into a young adult and capturing each year with a gorgeous portrait.
